Ameriprise Auto And Home Insurance - Disappointing
Purchased auto and homeowners insurance with Ameriprise through the Costco program. Upon renewal they upped my auto premium by over 25% and when I called to ask why, the said they forgot to add my Costco and other discounts.
Wow!
Was involved in a not at fault accident. Received a call from the claims department from an aggressive and rude representative. Was made to feel as if I were the bad guy. Asked for pictures of my car which I immediately sent.
Got a confirmation they were received. Two weeks later I get a call at 7am (!) asking for the pictures. Replied by email they had them. Got a response "oh yeah we have them." BTY...police report confirms I was an innocent victim to the accident.
These people are rude, unprofessional and seem to find ways to screw you over with the renewal premiums.
You have to be aware and careful when dealing with Amerprise. Costco should be ashamed for sponsoring them.

I am a Costco business member and am having the same experience as the author of this complaint. Had a $880.00 fender ding, estimated by 2 estimators ($840 and $880) and Ameriprise came back with a $720.00 estimate.
I have full coverage on 3 vehicles, including uninsured motorist. Well, my claim is due to a small dent on the L/R fender, caused by a presumably uninsured motorist. I have a letter from the other driver's insurance company stating that his vehicle was not insured. But that has not stopped Ameriprise from spending weeks trying to decide whether they should reimburse my deductible of $250.00 or not.
I am a member of our chamber of commerce, where several of our business owners are using the Costco program. I will advise them to seek insurance elsewhere.Never has a claim in 50 years.
